The present Municipal Executive consists of  the mayor and two councilmen, together they constitute the executive committee. Jeroen Staatsen (VVD) is the mayor of Voorschoten and chairman of the executive board. The aldermen are Freddy Blommers (ONS Voorschoten) and Inge Adema-Nieuwenhuizen.

The replacement arrangement

When the mayor is not present a substitute is appointed in his place. The first deputy mayor is alderman F. Blommers, the second is I. Adema.
